Past Hydrologic Condition Designations (May 2007 to present)

For more information regarding past annual and periodic designations, please click here for an overview memo.

  1. Determined as described in Section 11, Appendix D of the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program Water Plan. The variables evaluated and the calculations resulting in this determination are detailed on the Hydrologic Condition Calculations page. For an overview of the methodology developed, see 'Characterization of Hydrologic Conditions to Support Platte River Species Recovery Efforts', Journal of the American Water Resources Association, 42(5):1391-1403. Note that for some periods of the year, no "wet" flow targets apply; in these cases any conditions that are not "dry" are labeled "normal".
  2. As described in the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program Water Plan, Section 11, Appendix E ("fixed daily targets") and Appendix A-5 ("cfs"). These targets may change if the hydrologic condition changes when next evaluated.
  3. For this period there are only "dry" and "normal" designations because "wet" targets are the same as "normal" targets for this period.
